Pkwi grows cassava for business and food for their homes, Pkwi farmers make cassava chips from their own farm grown cassava. Cassava is grown in different variaties which are Nase3, Nase14 and Narocass 1

Nase3 the farmers select variaty based on the
time taken from planting to havesting which is
9 Months, yieldpotential,resistance to pests and diseases,
and taste of cassava root and the variaty response is 68%

 

 Nase 14 the farmers select variaty based on the
 time taken from planting tohavesting which is 8-10 Months,
  yieldpotential,resistance to pests and diseases,and taste
  of cassava root and the variaty response is 60%

             

Narocass1; Is a dominant type of cassava grown by over 86% of the
farmers surveyed, The farmers select the variety based on time taken
from planting to harvesting, yield potential, resistance to pest and
diseases and taste of cassava. Narocass1 maturity period is 9Mnths
       and variety is 86% responses
